Um is the name of the island located in the north of Sorong Regency, the island in front of Malaumkarta village, Makbon District. Many fruit bats are hanging on the trees while taking time for Resting until 06.40 p.m fly out from the island and be changed resting place with Frigate birds. Its wonderfull attractions time for the birds

White Sandy beach also found here, clear sea water like a pool and and very suitable for Sunbathing on the beach. You can do snorkle around the island and try to see dugong show up. Local guide will guide you along you are doing activities in the island. This half/full day trip from Sorong city after you come back from Raja Ampat or do you have enough time before depart. the distance from sorong to this place around one and half hour. Malaumkarta is a village in Nort Coast part of Sorong Regency. West Papua Province . The distance of this village its about 48 Km and 2 hours trip with public transport (local transport) from Sorong city. Maumkarta village inhabited by Moi tribe and the population of inhabitant are 321 people/85 houses.

With the regional boundary is Westside with Kuadas village, Eastside with Asbaken Village , Southside with Klayili Village and Nort side with Raja Ampat islands sea.The villagers are friendly and polite here.

The natural potentials in this village are various that is from Sea to Land ( Forest ), especially EcoTourism Potential Resources.
